Resolving Ecological & Environmental Issues for over 25 years.

Dr. Adrian del Nevo

Dr. Adrian del Nevo has over 28 years experience assessing and managing ecological issues associated with a broad range of species and their habitats (including riparian, wetlands, terrestrial systems, coastal marshes and marine) throughout the USA and worldwide. He specializes in ecological pathway analysis and the identification and appropriate quantification of potential injury to wildlife and habitat receptors.

His work has included injury assessments at the individual, population, community, and ecosystem levels. He has considerable experience in critically reviewing ecological risk assessments (EcoRA); in particular, the appropriateness of ecological functions and suitability of EcoRA model inputs. Where appropriate he has used agency-approved population models to assess possible effects of contaminants and other environmental stressors. Dr. del Nevo is particularly experienced at injury assessment and the identification and appropriate scaling of project mitigation/compensation. He has developed a range of agency-approved approaches and techniques. His restoration-based approach to case resolution has contributed to the cost-effective closure of over 38 legal cases. Most of his scientific and technical support has been in support of Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) and he has been the technical/scientific lead on over 50 contaminant cases. Dr. del Nevo has been the senior technical lead on over 110 oil spills under OPA and 11 major CERCLA cases involving a wide range of contaminants (e.g., mercury, arsenic, copper, selenium, aluminum, PCBs, DDT).

Dr. del Nevo has the technical skills and experience to work cooperatively with State and Federal Trustees. However, he is also experienced with highly litigious cases and the scientific and technical rigor required in case preparation and trial.
